Merry Christmas + a Happy New Year to all !! ^_^ ![]() one design of one second. (christmas tree ) Originally uploaded by designer and painter. Thursday, December 15, 2005The benefits...of working for a company that pleases people: ![]() Our clients are trying to fatten us up! We got a huge tin tub of popcorn with 3 flavours the other day + that morning we got ginger/oatmeal/chocolate cookies. Yum yum. Tis the season for plentiful bounty! The *FINAL* final episode of The Apprentice is on tonight + live! Still can't guess who's going to win... It's going to be gooood. Wednesday, December 14, 2005Knee high socks rock [bettas do, too].Well, I mentioned photos of my new knee high socks in the last post, so here they are. ^_^ ![]() Also! Today, my workmate brought in the two bettas that I was to adopt from him since he was collecting way too many at his house. So, I now have office pets to accompany me on my long days at the office. ^_^ ![]() » This little betta is about 6 months young. ![]() » This beast is about a year old. Aren't they beautiful? :) They are crowntails, different from the bettas at my home. Mike [my coworker] was right about what would happen to me after I got bettas for pets. I definitely am becoming a "betta nerd". ;) I don't think I want any other fish now that I've had my bettas. They just have so much personality to them, like dogs, but without the drool + fur. :D They give us attention when we stand next to their tank + they wait by the edge of the tank when we lift off the lid because they know they are about to be fed their pellets or dried worms. Alright, I'm out the door. Don't want to stand up my date... movie date, that is. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire awaits... ^_^ Tuesday, December 13, 2005new strutsSo, I made a discovery last night. I discovered a "useful" use for knee high socks other than wearing them to cover my shin guards back in my high school soccer days. I made a trip to Target yesterday after work + bought some pairs of knee high socks for the *new* type of winter that I'm experiencing these days +, maaan, am I glad I did. They are not too thick to make my feet suffocate in my shoes, but they are warm enough to keep the cold chill out from my ankles + shins. They are my newfound accessory! ^_^ Got them in black, grey, khaki beige, + brown. They are all covered with tiny rainbow flecks, too, which make them more fun than having them just plain solid. Maybe I'll post a pitcha for you tonight. I'm such an alien sometimes... ^_^ One more thing... Can you believe that they actually sell leg warmers here as an everyday product? Oh no. It's not just a flashback fashion item. People actually NEED these things! Nutters, I tell ya. Thursday, December 08, 2005You're fired.
![]() ![]() I cannot believe I am posting this but... I can't wait for tonight's The Apprentice! It's the final round + I am stoked. ^_^ Both candidates are well-educated, nice, yet strong in their approaches to each project. They rarely back down when given a task. It's a hard call on who will win... I better not be working late tonight! Monday, December 05, 2005.:* snowy day *:.I am finding it very difficult to concentrate on my work today. It is the first real day of snow in the area + I can't help but be excited about it. ^_^ Everyone in the office is buzzing about the snow outside. There are mixed feelings--people who are excited about the snow + people who are dreading the drive home. Me, on the other hand, am still happy. One of my workmates told me that I'll be fine since I have an SUV. It's the other people on the road that I'm worried about. I'll just have to learn to take it slowww on the road. ;) I've had numerous people come up to me asking if I've seen the snow yet. Yes, has the Floridian of the office seen the snow yet?? Of course!! Wouldn't miss it! :D In fact, I've been making trips to the windows in the breakroom every half hour to see the progression lapse. How can I concentrate on work with all the snow flurries tap-tap-tapping on the office windows? Wonnnerful. Now, if only I could work that charm to have my Nikon hover over here QUICK. Ah well There's always tomorrow. |
