sittin' on muh heini with Heidi
Nothing too exciting, but here I am on a Saturday afternoon typing away on the wireless laptop in front of the tele watching back-to-back Project Runway. I wasn't ever into the show when Joshua first started watching it. I came in about 2/3rds into the show + I am nothing but HOOKED. I was on the edge of my seat last Wednesday night putting all my bets on Santino, thinking that night that they would reveal the winner, but of course it is to be continued till next Wednesday night. Ugh. ;) So, since they've been advertising repeatedly on the Bravo channel that they were showing a Project Runway marathon, I was excited--especially since I didn't catch the first part of the show to see the rest of the fashion designers who were booted early on. It's very inspiring to watch these designers go from concept to execution, something that people in my field have to deal with day in day out.
What I love best are the sketches these designers put down onto paper. They are so awesome to see. It makes me want to get back into drawing again, the one thing that defined me as an artist since I was in grade school. I really miss that part of my life when I would just sit + do nothing but draw what was in my head. Dang distracting computers. ;)
Anyway, I have been sitting on my touchee since noon with the wind blowing fiercely outside. The wind was blowing so hard that the rattling of our apartment windows actually woke me up earlier than usual on a Saturday morning, which is my day of the week to sleep in.
In other events, one of J's long-time friends from Tampa Jon came into town for business, so we decided to take him around the area + show him our city. All three of us ate dinner [Mexican + Peruvian] + drank coffee, so it was a nice treat to get out of the house + do something different during the week. :) For the most part, the guys were playing catch-up since they both go as far back as high school + they haven't seen each other in years. But, it still was a lot of fun hanging out with Jon because he + J were just hilarious to watch. Let's just say that I could tell they were friends as kids. ;)
Well, it's time to get back to watching the marathon. Just thought I'd post what's on my mind since it's been awhile. As Heidi Klum would say, "Buh-iiiii!"
