so, i hope all is well with everyone.. the new year wasn't at all as scary as everyone was predicting. this is the year of The Devine! "Yah!" and, yes, grrr...the new site *still* isn't up for us to pillage and rampage through--ah well. in due time, eh? (i wonder if the site masters need any help? ;) *hint*hint* sorry 'bout all this meaningless babble--do you know what time it is now? 7:24 in the AM! and i haven't even slept a wink yet! *argh* this is all for you fans and band members.. i am losing sleep, but i LOVE it! *trying not to sound like some freak*
as far as updates.. lo and behold. the Neon Moon show, dating back to the 7th of august in the year 1999... sounds sooo damn long ago. well, for those of you who would love to relive that experience, then, by all means, follow me into The GreenRoom and knock on the door to see a total of 45 photographs in both colour and black and white. (the b+w photos were touched up with a sepia-tone, so i hope you enjoy what came out of it...) oh, and for those of you who actually *waited* for that loooong Neon Moon Review (written by moi) to load up on your screens, well, i've learned my lesson and i've chopped up that bad boy into 11 individual pages, so that you can easily navigate from page to page... about time, eh? oke...time for bed. have safe dreams.

see, even though virgos is moving on to the next millenium as The Devine, i have a reeeeal strong feeling that most of you haven't had enough eye candy of Virgos Merlot, right? right?! ;) i know *i* still want more... which is why i am tres antsy to check out the new "line-up" once they start touring again. this band inspires me soo so much to continue with my design for the page and now that i am out of college until the third of January 2000, i've got major plans of giving this site a facelift to make it easier on the eyes.
as far as recent updates.. (this includes what's new on the "east wing" of the GreenRoom known as "extension"), i've junked the old look of the home page of the GreenRoom to better suit the new "extension" site--i need consistency in mah life, ya know. it's very important. ;) and as i've mentioned earlier on, there will SOON be a 5th venue page on this site called "BrickCity", which will feature exclusive photos from Virgos' last show AS VirgosMerlot. (by the way, the guys played their best and were amazingly lively that nite--especially ted! you should've seen him.)
...updates on the "extension"? well, i finally figured out the durn java scripts for opening the thumbnail windows on p1... so, now you can actually get to "view" the maximized versions of my b+w contact sheets. (kudos to ElusiveOne for her help!) hey, if you love rawk star portraits, please feel free to stop by.
i hope you guys and gals will come and check out the "extension" site, which features other band photos (i.e. Econoline Crush, Moby, Tonic, Jump, Little Children) and such & such... you can view the new site directly at:

well, "the GreenRoom" still stands *as is*. if you want to hear more of their new band, "The Devine", i will try my hardest to see them the first time they make their move to the club scene in the new year and document my *first* Devine experience to share with all of you grateful Virgos fans.

well. just to let you in, i've "upgraded" to a better Message Board to keep me sane in the head, since the last one gave me major headaches. i gave it a name and that name is "Veemers™ Only". *hehehe* i've also included a wide array of links for those of you who love to browse the net for cool artsy sites... believe me, i've got plenty of those that i'd like to share with you all.
here are a couple of examples... they are waay advanced when it comes to designing web sites and i think you need certain specifications to run them... but, if you match their criteria, then you should check 'em out! "damn! that's cool shit!"
i *might* put up something called, "My Own World", a 'subsidiary' of Kat's Greenroom, which is a personal site displaying the mishaps of my life.. here's a preview called, "The busy life of a fangirl"... :)
so, that is all... just a short update for now... (you guys are thinking, "thank goodness.. i thought she'd never shut up!") and *that* is why it ends here... :)

i've included a select batch of mine and Olivia's photos from Club5. there are a couple of great action shots that you might want to see. i like trying to work with the lights that are staged at the venue versus using a flash, so you'll notice why some shots are blurred. either that or the band members were rawkin out to "Winning" or "Disregarding" during those takes, which *always* makes great action shots—they're my favorite parts of the show!
anyway, i'm stuck in the middle of a lot of things since the last time i posted an update. things haven't changed, of course... no luck finding a job... still in the midst of school-- 'cept now midterms are around the corner and i'll soon be buried in design projects, so throw me a life jacket will ya? so much to do... sooo so little time. as you can tell from the updated, but waaay outdated material on the Club5 page, my bleu Mac is beginning to like me again.
in between all of this, i'm trying my best to promote our great rawk band that answer to the name of VirgosMerlot by bringing you this website, not to mention telling my art school buddies and various Savannahians about them while passing out flyers with VM website info on them (cos the web is the way to go if you want info!) to local music stores and clubs, AND trying to get them to play for my little "joja" town of Savannah at this really small *familiar* place esteemed as The Velvet Elvis. (not to be confused with The Velvet Elvis Arts Lounge Theatre in Seattle.) i have spoken to them about it and certain band members *have* heard of this place, so you never know if things can happen--preferably and hopefully before they hole up in the studio for their up and coming sophomore release. we'll see, eh?
more news... um, i wonder if i'm even allowed to say this, being a non-spokesperson on the subject... hmmm, well, let's just say that if you haven't gotten the premiere ish (issue) of the lovely Vacant Soul zine, another one is currently in the making as we speak... there will be an updated logo for the cover 'cos compared to the previous one, there is definitely more time alotted for design differences and editing, so we hope that you all will be extremely pleased with the outcome. so, enough about that since that is something completely different from what you are seeing right here right now. :)

Virgos Merlot performing at The Brick City Music Hall in Gainesville was definitely what i needed from all this crazy shiznit going on in my brain. i've finally gotten my Virgos Fix! >;) they played an awesome, mixed and unexpected setlist for us and i was soaking in every second of it... the guys were absolutely feelin it that night... ted, who usually plays still all the times that i've seen them, was mad flailin' all over the damn place! whether or not they made great shots is still a question (haven't got them developed yet!), but the Virgos boys never seem to disappoint me and my camera... nonetheless, i enjoyed the show greatly. were you there? anyway, i'll save the reviews for another time since this "update" is gettin kinda lengthy.
well, well, well... long story short. *hehehe* ...see ya around.

...what i've done with this place so far was basically giving it some sort of an identity, since there was a lack, thereof. i just chopped up that longass index page into little pieces for you all to browse through with more ease. {unfortunately, the review on the NeonMoon show is *still* one-big-ayass-mutha-mutha...}
AND! for those of you who roamed this site when it first premiered a month ago and *didn't* find those 2 other {subliminal} pages, weh-heh-helll.... here they are in their full naked glory! *hehe* there are also some new added Links to more creative pages out there, so i hope that you go and check them out soon.
there will definitely be more fresh off the comp graphics and photos available in the near-near future... for now, i hope you enjoy sifting through the new remains of Kat's GreenRoom... it's still kinda in it's "Preview" mode cos i've got plenty of show photos to share with you Veemers™. remember, if you want info on the band, visit the links mentioned on the "Links" page... my site is merely what it is; "A site to see." it's all for your viewing pleasure—and my own personal web photo album.
but, please, you must have patience though.... these things give such massive migraines, y'know! ...try juggling a malfunctioned Apple© G3 (and i just got it, too!) that won't let you work on it while a blank screen stares you in the face, mocking you , saying "Nyeh, nyeh!"; two design campaign projects for school due next week one after another which you can't work on cos your computer just looooves to whig out on you in "times of trouble"; trying to find a job to pay for the frikkin parking meters around downtown Savannah that you have to feed every single day; AND trying to tell yourself, "Yeh! I think I can find time to work on my site!" yeh, i know we all have those days, or *weeks* even, when things aren't going like they should, but, maaaaaan.

but, hey. believe me, i would MUCH rather be working on designing the site just cos it's much more fun getting others who share the same love around the world to view something that is of great interest to me. ...for i am a music zealot—a VM zealot among other things! ...also, because you guys and gals are just so cool anyway! =)
oke.... now that i've relieved a little bit of tension from my studies to you all, i'll let you get on with your lives.

unfortunately, at the moment, i'm just plugging in the text that i blatantly forgot to plug in before the site was released.. no *real* updating {sorry!} except for trying to make this site a little more personalized with words instead of just slapping the pieces of meat (i.e. NEW VM photos) right in front of you to feast on.
i, along with other fellow photogs who will be graciously mentioned in the near near future, are preparing to bring you all the official "Grand Opening" of this little page we call "The GreenRoom"...
so, keep checking into this site regularly, so you won't miss out on the fun eye candy. (cos if you're like me, i KNOW you want the candy 24/7 & ASAP, am i right fellow Veemers?)
